Performing Arts - Drama, Music, Visual Arts and Photography

  • Drama students from year 4 upwards can expect to receive a gradual introduction to the formal elements of group participation in movement and dramatic presentation; and by year 10 have a sound basis in understanding role and character presentation, theatre history and a range of stage practices.While Drama is seen as a 'performance' subject students will, through a wide range of activities, learn a good deal about themselves and though working with others develop stronger self confidence and interpersonal skills.

 

 

  • Music students from Prep to Year 8 experience wonderful and interactive courses. From the learning basics in the Early Years to developing, analysing and writing music in the later years. Students not only experience instrument use but examine and use new technology to create engaging songs, loops and performances. Students may elect to continue music studies as part of their Year 9/10 options.

 

 

 

  • Art students from Prep to Year 8 also experience many countless opportunities to develop and refine their artistic skills. Students in Year 7 and 8 particularly get the opportunity to research influential artists and their works. While examining a wide-range of techniques and modern art. Students may elect to continue art studies as part of their Year 9/10 options.
